2008 Mid-season Update

Summertime fishing in Florida has been excellent this year.  These are some recent St. Johns River bass.  The river was extremely low throughout the spring until June, when we finally started getting some rain.  There's been a tremendous shad hatch this year and the big fish are schooled up on shell bars BIG TIME, and they're eating anything from swimbaits to finesse rigs.  It has slowed somewhat in the past week because of the fast rising water, but that merely opens up other opportunities for catching them over the eel grass in the lakes.

I am now officially retired from our construction firm and am looking forward to the last Bassmaster Southern Open as well as the final two Bassmaster Central Opens this fall.  My back and health in general are doing great and I'm excited about getting back to tournament fishing.

The camper top that I used for my truck wrap last year is for sale.  It fits a Ford F250 Super Duty. The wrap's been removed and the camper top is pictured here. It's also been removed from the truck and is in storage.  It's in like new condition and I'm asking $750.  If you're interested, please send me an email for more details.

Good fishing!
